A Christmas Story

I've always loved this movie – real Americana as only Jean Sheperd could do… The news story is about the guy that bought the house (on eBay) that the movie was filmed in (without his wife's knowledge) and surprisingly, it's been a hit!

Along with The Grinch and the 1951 Alastair Sim black and white British version of Scrooge, this is a must-see holiday favorite! 🙂

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Have a merry holiday season! As Tiny Tim said – "God bless us, every one!"

Welcome, Christmas, bring your cheer.
Cheer to all Whos far and near.
Christmas Day is in our grasp so long as we have hands to clasp.
Christmas Day will always be
just as long as we have we.
Welcome Christmas while we stand, heart to heart and hand in hand.

God I loved that movie as a kid, and we watched it a couple weeks ago. First we had the tattered vhs forever, then got the dvd. I can't believe it bombed at the box office! My favorite scene was where the dogs rip apart the turkey, and they end up in an asian restraunt with the smiling duck! Thanks so much for posting this!

The pleasure is mine. I heard about the guy that bought the house, and found the story on YouTube. I love the scene that you mention also… And the one where even Santa sez: "You'll shoot your eye out!" 🙂
