Last Season – Sci-Fi’s Battlestar Galactica

Season 4 starts to night on Sci-Fi Channel! Will the survivors find Earth? Who is the last Cylon model to be discovered? Love this show like few others!

Few sci-fi shows appeal to both the nerds and the snobs. But, then again, "Battlestar Gallactica" has never been your typical space opera. For three epic seasons, the series has focused on great frakkin' storytelling, and its been rewarded with a fanatical fanbase and adoring reviews. Tonight, BSG returns for its fourth and final season and not a moment too soon—after more than a year of reruns, buzz on this baby is ready to blow.

Lookups on the show more than doubled over the past 24 hours, launching it into our top 750 searches. Related queries on recaps, spoilers, and the show's cast also experienced huge surges. Among the cast, the comely mix of females are dominating the Search box. Lookups on lady in red Tricia Helfer are up 68%, while the equally fetching Grace Park, Katee Sackhoff, and Kandyse McClure boast similarly impressive numbers.

BSG's return has generated a boatload of articles and blog posts as well. Last season's cliffhanger finale (aren't they all?) left fans wondering who the 12th and final Cylon is. An article from IGN attempts to answer the question, while posts from outlets like Houston Chronicle and Wired focus on the show's history and "why it must self destruct" for its own good. We doubt the show's diehard fans would agree with that last point, but regardless, the season should be one helluva ride. So say we all.
