Had a great time at the 3rd Annual San Diego Asian Cultural Festival at Liberty Station this last Saturday! We had a strong contingent representing Korean culture. The San Diego Korean Daily and our own kkonnect.net had a booth and was busy throughout the day spreading the word about Korean culture and offering select items like the unique tee shirts you can see people sporting in the photos below.
There were Korean martial artists, a Korean cooking class with Cathlyn Choi, and the colorful and impressive San Diego Korean Pungmui School. And that was just the Korean part! And I must say that everyone was respectful and pleasant throughout the day.
Be sure to put this on your calendar for next year!!
Here is the schedule for the San Diego Asian Cultural Festival at Liberty Station this Saturday (tomorrow!) it’s a wonderful chance to experience the diverse cultures we all share in The San Diego area. Lots of good food, entertainment, learning experiences and just plain fun!

kkonnect will be there to cover the action! Korean Daily has a booth. Be sure to come by and say hello. We will also have a staff photographer to cover the event and take your picture if you would like.

With our hectic lives and so little time, it’s easy to forget the most important things in life. Your Mom wants you for Mothers Day more than anything else. Let her know you love her!
Last night was great with a free showing for members, one of the many benefits!
We saw Patang (The Kite) About a family that is reunited during the big festival of the kites in an Indian town. It look seven years to make, and 90% of the cast are non-actors. It is an amazing film!
Then we had a Skype Q and A with the director and two of the the principle actors to take questions from the audience. I think everyone learned a lot about the film.
See a video the ace SDAFF team made in just one day to get a feeling of what it was like to be there. Plus, there is a recap of what is coming up today and the last day tomorrow. You simply can not miss A Simple Life playing today and tomorrow!
Great video from the Spring Showcase Opening Night! See the fun of attending a movie, not to mention the world class quality of our films.
Tonight at 6pm, we have Patang (The Kite) from India. See the color and emotion as a family reunites during a traditional kite festival.
At 8:30pm You Are The Apple of My Eye. From Taiwan, set in the 1990s, a fun and a bit crazy tale of 5 friends that all fall for the same girl. I loved it. due to popular demand, we have an encore showing tonight!
Please come out and Enjoy!
